What to expect on Leh Ladakh tour?

View: Leh Ladakh is known for its ever-changing mind-blowing landscapes. This Ladakh tour starts from the beautiful town of Leh. As you are about to land at the airport, you get mesmerized by the birds-eye view of Ladakhi mountain ranges. The town of Leh has its own vibes and the view remains a blend of green and arid. Greenery in the center and encircled by barren mountains. As you move towards Nubra Valley via Khardung La (one of the highest motorable passes in the world), the landscape transforms and now you experience the desert, river, mountains, and a bit of greenery, all at the same place. This huge valley turns into a narrow one after entering Shyok Valley while approaching towards Pangong Tso lake. In the end, Pangong Tso overwhelms you with its surreal beauty and continuously changing colors.

Places: Leh Ladakh is one of the rare places in which one enjoys the destination as much as the journey. Starting from Leh, the town hosts several destinations including Shanti Stupa, Pathar Sahib Gurdwara, Magnetic Hill, Indus-Zanskar Confluence, Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, War Memorial, Hall of Fame, Zorawar Fort, Leh Palace, & Mall Road. In Nubra Valley, one can visit the Diskit Monastery and sand dunes. And after exploring the Pangong Tso lake, one can explore the famous Hemis Monastery and 3 Idiots school while returning from the lake.

Roads: The roads of Ladakh are popular worldwide and due to which people from every corner of the world come here to do some adventure on motorcycles. The overall roads are good in Leh Ladakh except for a few patches and stream crossings. When approaching towards Nubra Valley, the road goes up all the way to the mighty Khardung La (17,582 feet) and then descends down to Khardung Village and further Nubra Valley. The road between Nubra Valley and Pangong Tso lake is quite interesting as it offers amazing views of mountains and valleys. One has to cross a stream near the Shyok village, which is considered a challenge on this route. It can be negotiated if crossed in the morning as the water level remains low. Then, the road from Pangong Tso to Leh goes via Chang La, which is also one of the highest motorable passes, perched at a height of 17,590 feet. Thought the road is not well laid out but its okay to ride on it. One completely enjoys driving or riding or traveling on the roads of Leh Ladakh.
