Delhi / Chandigarh
Should be in the morning
On the first day of your Himachal Tour, you will be received at your place of choice out of Delhi and Chandigarh and your trip will begin. Travel towards the Himalayan Mountains in the north, a journey of 550 km from Delhi or 300 km from Chandigarh. The taxi will get you there in 12 to 13 hours from Delhi in great comfort and well-rested to begin your sightseeing early next morning. Enjoy the journey through the mountains and don’t forget to take some pit stops at some of the famous locations for some refreshments and photo sessions. Reach your destination by evening. Hotel check-in & relax.
Manali, the valley of Gods, is a beautiful tourist town in the snow-capped Himalayas, which sees all nature of travelers from wanderers to honeymoon couples owing to its striking beauty, as well as retired or working professionals just looking for peace and quiet. There is no shortage of local sightseeing activities in the city, with the famous Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Himalayan Nyingmapa Buddhist Monastery, as well as beautiful Jogini waterfalls and Vashisht hot water springs. Take in some culture at the Museum of Himachal for Culture and Folk Art or just laze around shopping and eating at the restaurants in Old Manali or on Mall Road with our Manali Tour Package.
After a day of fun and frolic in Manali, it will be time to head across the state to the beautiful capital city of Shimla, located 240km away. This will be a day trip, taking in the gorgeous valleys, ravines and greenery along the way, as well as some truly spectacular views. You will be taken in a comfortable taxi with refreshment stops at idyllic locations for relaxing, clicking photographs and just generally unwinding in the comfort of the mountainside. Reach your destination by evening. Hotel check-in & relax.
The next day promises one of the best experiences of the trip overall, as we take you to Kufri, the snow and skiing paradise of India, just 20 km (1 hour) away from Shimla. Here you can see snow-capped peaks similar to Manali, with deep thick snow and skiing and other adventure activities (depending on the weather and season) or let the children have snowball fights and build snowmen while you relax with hot cocoa and take in the splendid views. You then return to Shimla, to explore local attractions such as Jakhoo Temple, Chadwick Falls, Christ the Church, The Ridge, and the mall road where you can spend the rest of the evening shopping, relaxing, strolling around and, of course, indulging your palate.
From Shimla you will now be taken 220 odd km northwest to the cultural landscape of Dharamshala, home to the indigenized Tibetan refugee community with their glorious monasteries. Once again, just sit back and relax as our comfortable taxi takes you to yet another part of the mountainside, with yet another cultural and topographical swing. In the evening, you can unwind with the special Tibetan butter tea available everywhere in Dharamshala and McLeodganj, be it restaurants or roadside vendors. Hotel check-in and relax.
Fondly referred to as Little Lhasa due to its long-settled, thriving Tibetan community, McLeodganj and Dharamshala offer various tourist attractions and sightseeing havens, not that you need much when you just walk around this heavenly part of Kangra district of Northwestern Himachal Pradesh. Whether you want to take in the spiritual vibe of the Dalai Lama Temple or at the Tibetan Museum, or whether you’re a thrillophile who wishes to trek up to Triund or see the glorious Bhagsunag Falls, you will find no shortage of fun activities to spend the day! Apart from the monastery and waterfall, you can also visit the pristine Dal Lake, St. Johns in the Wilderness, Naddi village for excellent views of Dhauladhars and HPCA stadium, which is considered one of the most beautiful cricket stadiums in the world.
The next day sees a short, half-day scenic drive up to Dalhousie near Chamba, on narrow, winding hillside roads with spectacularly divine views of the mountains on one side and the valleys, ravines and gorges on the other. This 120 km journey will probably give you the best sights to see overall in this Himachal Pradesh Tour Package, covering the distance in about 3-4 hours. Stroll at the Mall road of Dalhousie in the evening.
Located deep inside the Chamba district with its meadows and forests, Dalhousie and Khajjiar are some of the most beautiful offbeat stops on this holistic Shimla Manali Kullu Tour Package. This last stop will show you must-see places (not just Indian but globally!) like Khajjiar Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, Khajjiar Lake and the tranquil Chamera Dam. Apart from the above scenic spots, one can also visit Panjpula to spend some time in a secluded place or hike to Dainkund peak for some magnificent views. For the religious or spiritually inclined, there are literally temples everywhere, like Champavati Temple, Chamunda Devi Temple and the Khajji Nag Temple, to name but a few. This last stop on your comprehensive Himachal Tour will leave you longing for more and wondering how the past eight days have just flown by!
