This 4 nights 5 days Auli tour package covers three famous destinations of Uttarakhand viz, Auli, Chopta & Rishikesh. Auli is a famous ski destination situated at a decent height of 2900 meters above sea level. It is considered one of the best places to do Skiing as the place receives an ample amount of snow in the winter season. Chopta, another destination that is included in this plan, is also a scenic and popular place in Uttarakhand. Famous for its alluring meadows and mesmerizing views of Chaukhamba and Kedarnath peaks.
The third and the last destination that is included in this Auli Tour Package itinerary is Rishikesh. Also called as the Yoga Capital of India, Rishikesh hosts one of the best rafting tours in India and also houses several places that can be explored. As you start your journey from Dehradun, the mountains greet you in just 2 hours of traveling and then accompany you all the five days. The lush green mountains and the roaring rivers of Alaknanda and Mandakini catch your attention throughout the journey. Once you reach Chopta, get mesmerized by the views of Kedarnath and Chaukhamba peaks. Chopta is also famous for breathtaking sunset, especially during winters. The meadow of Chopta is also a sight to behold and it looks more beautiful when covered with snow. Auli and Chandrashila, both offer panoramic views of the mighty Himalayas. Some of the peaks that can be spotted are Chaukhamba, Kedarnath, Nanda Devi, Trisul, Dronagiri, Nilkanth, Hathi Godha, etc.
Starting from Chopta, which is also famous by the name of “Mini Switzerland”, the place is mainly known for the treks to Tungnath & Chandrashila. The trek is moderate and 3.5 km long up to the Tungnath temple. Although, the trail is completely paved but it might get tough because of snow. While traveling from Chopta to Auli, one can also explore Gopeshwar Mahadev temple, which comes on the way. Joshimath is a renowned town and is famed for several things like its the same town where the Badrinath shrine is kept when the main temple remains closed. It is also the gateway to Nanda Devi National Park. Auli is located on the outskirts of Joshimath and is an 11 km uphill drive from here. While returning, there are several places that one can explore and take a pit stop like, Karnaprayag (confluence of Alaknanda and Pindar rivers), Rudraprayag (confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers), and Devprayag (confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers).

Arrive at Dehradun as it is the starting point of your journey. Our driver picks you up either from the airport (Jolly Grant Airport) or railway station and then you start your journey towards the mountains. Chopta is around 250 km from Dehradun and it takes around 8 hours to reach there. Don’t forget to take a pit stop at Devprayag, a sacred and scenic site where the confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi happens. The entire journey is through mountains and is scenic as you get some beautiful views along the way. After reaching Chopta, check-in in the swiss camps and relax.
Chopta is famous for its clear and majestic views of Kedarnath and Chaukhamba peaks and is also the starting point of the Tungnath temple trek and Chandrashila peak. Tungnath is considered the highest Lord Shiva temple in the world situated at an altitude of 3680 m from the mean sea level. Enjoy the bonfire with music in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay in swiss camps at Chopta.
Wake up to a cold and fresh morning and get ready for the morning hike to Tungnath temple. The hike is around 3.5 km from Chopta and the trail is well paved all the way to the temple. It takes around 3-4 hours to complete the hike. One can also hike to Chandrashila, which is further 1.5 km from Tungnath temple. The summit of Chandrashila offers mesmerizing panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. Some of the Himalayan peaks that one can spot from Chandrashila are Nanda Devi (2nd Highest Peak in India), Trisul, Chaukhamba, Kedarnath, Janhukut, Mandani, Hathi Ghoda, and a few more. Enjoy the views and descend down to Chopta. Pack your bags and get ready to leave for Auli.
The distance from Chopta to Auli is around 100 km. Enjoy the scenic drive through Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary. It takes around 4 hours to reach Auli, a famous Ski destination near Joshimath. Situated at a height of 2900 m, the place offers amazing views of surroundings and has perfect slopes for skiing. Check-in in the resort/hotel and relax. Dinner and overnight stay at Auli/Joshimath.

Have a hearty breakfast and begin your journey towards the Yoga Capital of India. Rishikesh is around 270 km from Auli and it takes around 11 hours to reach. Drive through the famous Karnaprayag and Rudraprayag (confluences) and retrace the same route to reach the town of Rishikesh. Check-in in the hotel and relax. Enjoy the evening Aarti at Triveni Ghat, if time allows. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel at Rishikesh.
Have breakfast and begin your day with sightseeing in Rishikesh. Rishikesh is home to several attractions such as Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Beatles Ashram, Triveni Ghat, and Neer Garh Waterfall. After exploring, its time to bid adieu to the mountains and commence your return journey towards Dehradun. It takes 2 hours to reach Dehradun. Q. How to get safe drinking water on the tour?
We provide mineral water bottles in the vehicle throughout the journey. All the places will have shops so one can easily buy mineral water bottles. We also recommend people carry a 1-liter water bottle with themselves so that if needed one can use it again and again by refilling it.
