India’s Golden Triangle Circuit is one of the most sought-after tourist circuits in the entire country. It links the three popular historic cities of North India, viz, Delhi (the national capital), Agra (the city of Taj Mahal), & Jaipur (an architectural gem). The trip to this culturally rewarding circuit generally starts from Delhi, moving on to south to Agra, and then west towards Jaipur in Rajasthan and finally terminating in Delhi. The entire circuit covers a distance of about 720 km by road.
All three destinations guarantee an unforgettable experience and let the visitors understand the history and culture of India through its roots. The best thing about this circuit is that it is well connected by good roads as well as the railways, thus, ensuring a comfortable travel.
Delhi, rightly referred to as “Dil walon ki Dilli”, presents an amalgamation of various cultures. With the Mughal and British architecture marking their strong presence in the city, the life around Delhi is what needs to be examined closely because its rawness encapsulates a rustic charm that can’t be felt anywhere else in the country.
The next stop, Agra, is a city where one can actually believe that, yes, love surely does have influenced humankind through ages. With the timeless white-marbled monument, Taj Mahal, taking away the breaths of the onlookers, the ‘nawabi’ lifestyle marks as another speciality of the city. The Mughlai cuisine and the street food are the other major attractions for all the foodies.
Jaipur, the final stop, is a dreamy city which houses some of the most enchanting monuments in India. With hill forts, namely, Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort & Nahargarh Fort, along with the beautiful palaces the city paints a vibrant picture for its visitors. Not to miss out the Rajasthani cuisine, which ensures every possible pleasure to your taste buds, Jaipur will make sure that your entire tour winds up on a happy note.
So, the overall trip to the Golden Triangle Circuit is a blend of almost everything from history to culture to food to religion. While Delhi gives you an essence of the Mughal as well as the British era, along with the perks of a metropolitan city, Agra stocks up on a feel of a purely Indian city with some of the finest architectures and old streets having those not-to-miss street-food corners, and Jaipur stands apart, enveloped in its royal grandeur, welcoming you to the land of royalty and style.
